The U.S. Department of State and Film Independent have partnered to create the Global Media Makers, a project to connect talented visual storytellers from around the world with entertainment professionals in the U.S. for custom mentorships, workshops and master classes. The twist is that they had to shoot on iPhones for the first time in their career.

After a quick introduction by some experts in iPhone filmmaking, they were off to join forces and use their iPhone like never before. We were lucky enough to have one of the project leaders reach out to see if we'd like to be involved. We jumped at the opportunity and were blown away at the results that these filmmakers came up with. See the program teaser and one of the full videos below:
