T-bracket allows me to mount SSD Clamp to Beastcage without using up the cold shoe needed for other things like wireless audio receiver. Clamp works for things other than SSD like with a little extra padding, the Rode AI Mirco audio interface which gives me two 3.5mm inputs and a 3.5 headphone port all in one device. So far this has allowed me to keep a super clean setup without the need for a USB-C hub. Very handy accessory for Beastcage.
I love it and the T bar too, it metal not a cheap piece and ones you get it on, you don’t have to worry about it breaking on you or falling off.
Incredible build quality. Every aspect is high quality. The grip is strong and the tightening screw is the best and gives me a piece of mind
Easy to build, like the protection for my phone, it seems well built and that it will last forever. I find it just a little heavy, otherwise I like it for creating content, just have to bring my backpack on those outings.
I actually use mine to attach a USB hub (see photo). Great design. Can be used upright or upside down depending upon your configuration.

great fit for cage, easy to install, real space saver
I first used the SSD Clamp Mount while shooting video at my running club Track Races. Very easy to mount to BeastCage and my Samsung T-7 Shield SSD fits securely in the Clamp. Highly recommend.
Superb. I'm using the clamp to hold a USB hub. Covers two of the four ports but I only need two, one for audio and the other either ext power or SSD. Neat and tidy.

The products might be good but I didn’t have a very pleasant customer service experience with the company sadly. My products didn’t arrive for a shoot I needed them for. I understand this is due to the carrier and can’t be helped but the company washed their hands of it in a “it’s not our problem” way, despite me paying extra for fast track delivery with a clear exact delivery date stated at checkout (nowhere did it say “estimated”). Rather than cover the return shipping costs of the items I no longer required, ensuring a happy customer and return business, they referred to a “computer says no” approach. On top of which they suggested it was my fault for not checking with them in advance that the deadline could definitely be met.

The T-mount/SSD-Clamp combination is of excellent quality and perform as they were designed to. I've found to store it when not in use, I can reverse it on the iPhone 17 Pro cage to both narrow its profile and protect the clamp from potential breakage.

Very well made SSD (or battery or whatever you want to use with it if it fits) and very practical accessory… I wish it would open a little bit more so I can use some bigger accessories.
Good quality. But it's a very tight fit for my Samsung T9 SSD. It works, but I have to push the SSD in a bit. In my opinion, the range should be wider.

Great finish and quality of all materials. Not sure I like the top mounting option though. I should have just ordered the version that comes with the t-bracket as well.
Awesome accessory but the screw in the cold shoe wasn’t long enough for the clamp to mount directly to the T-bracket for low profile mode.

BE CAREFUL! I bought the wrong version of this and needed the T-mounting plate. Bestgrip should really have its two SSD mount options as two separate SKUs each with their own product page.
I recently picked up the SSD clamp mount for the Beastcage, and it’s been a great addition. It holds my external SSD securely without adding bulk or throwing off the balance of the rig. The clamp is solid, easy to adjust, and mounts cleanly to the cage without blocking other accessories. It’s perfect for ProRes or high-bitrate recording workflows—gives me the storage I need without relying on internal iPhone space. Highly recommend if you’re doing serious video work.

I have been getting Beastgrip gear for a while now. Having both dof adapters (looking forward to seeing what the Photon is about), the cages for an iPhone 12 Pro up to a 16 Pro now, a lens or two and now the clamp, it is a pleasure to use this gear and have to say that it doesn't hurt that it looks so cool too. The practical side of the clamp helped me solve another problem, and that's with memory on a phone and then the transferring of video from the phone to a computer. Getting the clamp made me think of using an external drive and it solves both problems. For some reason, I had not thought of this option until seeing a promo for the clamp. And it works great!

Great case and solid for video work. Built like a tank and easy to use.
Came super fast and in time for a big project that I’m working on. Not using it as it’s intended purpose but it’s perfect for holding my power bank. I do plan on using it as its intended purpose eventually and definitely might be getting another for my rig soon.
