consider asite addition as a Build option that suggests that you may need the 58mm filter holder when you build the cage and a media clamp, or when oyou order a wide lense show recommended acc as a 77mm VND filter.

This VND filter is excellent, and it is essential for achieving proper exposure when keeping the shutter angle at 180º for cinematic motion blur. I love that it has such a wide range of 1.5-8.5 because it is extremely versatile and usable for any and all outdoor scenarios. It's very easy to use, and it seems to be quite well built. My only concern when buying it was that I would only be able to use this 77mm filter with my 1.7x and 0.75x Beastgrip lenses, and not with my iPhone 15 Pros native cameras because the 77mm filter is too big to fit directly onto the native lenses when using the Beastgrip Pro rig and the step up adapters Beastgrip sells. However, I was able to solve this problem by purchasing a third-party step up ring adapter set. By using every step these adapters to go from 37-49, 49-52, 52-55, etc. all the way up to the 62-77mm that came with the lens, I was able to build enough height to clear the side of the rig such that I can use the 77mm VND filter with the native lenses as well. All this is to say that I am very happy I found this workaround because this is a great filter, and being able to use it with both my Beastgrip lenses and also my native iPhone lenses is fantastic. (Note: the person in this video is not actually injured. This shot was staged for a shoot for an athletic trainers association.)

TL;DR: All of the gear is fantastic! Premium, well made and easy to use and set up. Everything you need to get started in mobile photography is right here, and the support is FANTASTIC! This review covers multiple products as I bought them all pretty much at the same time, so this will be repeated on those products. With that out of the way, let’s talk about how I started. I’ve been taking photos (as an amateur) for a long time on my iPhone and other sony phones, just for fun for years. I didn’t start to think about taking photos seriously until a couple of years ago. I know nothing about professional photography, but learned that I could do a lot with the right apps, and gear. Enter my DJI Drone and now the Beastgrip kit I picked up. This review is about beastgrip, but the drone was the slippery slope and both pieces of equipment are awesome for photography and video. So here’s my review on everything I purchased from Beastgrip, and a special shout out to CJ who has been super patient with all of my newbie questions. You’re the real MVP, my friend, and thank you! Beastgrip Pro Universal Rig: The Rig is awesome! It’s easy to use and well made. It took me a hot minute to figure out all of the nuances but I’d give it a 4.95/5 and the only reason I dinged it was because I think there could be a piece on the rig that keeps the iPhone aligned where the camera is. I find that mine leans a bit or rather is not level. Hard to explain, but if you put your iPhone 16 Pro Max in the rig then lay it down where the camera is facing down and the screen is facing up, look at t from the side and you’ll see what I mean. Other than that it’s awesome. There are so many places for add on’s that I don’t even know what add Ons to add! I also like that it’s universal and won’t outgrow any new iPhones for the foreseeable future which is nice. I’d highly recommend this as it’s easy to use, and ergonomically works great. I run mine with the side handle as I think it feels a bit better and Beastgrip team, you may consider this as an option for people to choose as you do with the beast clamps. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who likes to take photos with or without lenses. Beastgrip Side Handle If you view my review on the Beastgrip Universal Rig you’ll see that I use this on there. To me it’s a no brainer. This thing feels great in the hand whether you are shooting photos/vids in portrait or landscape it feels great, and it has so many holes to add accessories or mount and I’ve not seen any other side handle that does this. Well worth the money in my humble opinion. The only suggestion I’d have is to have another color like a maple wood color as well for more variety, but that’s a nice to have. Overall I’d give this a 5 out of 5 and would highly recommend snagging one. Beastgrip Cold Shoe Mount Pretty self explanatory, this is well made, priced right and easy to use. There are many manufacturers of these and they all seem to be good. I simply wanted an extra one. 5/5 overall. Beastgrip Proseries CPL Filter Ok so the filters, first of all I’m new to photography so I don’t really know how to use these the right way, but as far as quality, build and my use, even though I know it’s wrong, they’ve been awesome. Solid, and feel great in the hand! 5/5 and would highly recommend. Beastgrip Pro Series – Macro Lens I can’t review this based on use as I’ve not used it yet, but it’s got a sold feel and is definitely well made. I’ve used the SandMarc macro lens in the past and I was not pleased with that. I hope this is better, and I’m confident it will be. Based on fit, finish and quality, 5/5 and would recommend. Beastgrip Pro Series 1.7X Telephoto Lens As I’ve said I’m new to photography, and so when it comes to lenses, I’m still learning how to use them, but what I can say when using this, MAN, the clarity is insane. I don’t even think I’m using it right and when I put an image in light room and apply a premium filter it looks so professional! I’m blown away and would recommend this lens, and it’s solid, has a little weight to it and is supremely well made. 5/5 overall and would highly recommend it. Beastgrip Pro Series Kenko 0.75X Wide Angle Lens Now this lens is my go to and again, I’m new to photography, but the way my nature pics have come out have been nothing short of incredible! This lens is fantastic! 5/5 and would HIGHLY recommend picking this one up. It’s also very well made, and strong with superior quality. Beastgrip SSD Clamp Mount Ok, so this is well made as well, but I have a grip. This doesn’t expand as much to my liking. I know, I know it’s personal preference, and for the price it’s fine, but man, I had to go out and buy another SSD Drive to fit this which was a bummer. 4/10 overall and maybe make it fit some bigger SSDs? Beastgrip Handle CH -50 x2 These little monsters are great! They help with stability when taking shots and vids and, I can place it in so many places on my Universal Rig and I am SUPER happy about that! I also ordered a second one for my “light rig” which I’ll be speaking about next. They are also solid with enough weight to feel premium and durable, but not so much that they are cumbersome, which is nice. I’d like to see a greay or steel color variant, but that’s a minor thing. 5/5 overall and would highly recommend. I’ll also be buying more haha! Beastgrip Beast clamp + Rig This is my “light rig”. Now one might ask how I knew I would need something like this as a newbie; In reality I simply thought about my travels and how much a rig on it’s own helped me with taking photos, and how in essence I’d have two rigs when travelling. I’d normally like to take my universal but with the items I have to pack to travel, and how I DO NOT like to check bags, I needed an option that would fit seamlessly when I didn’t have enough room for my full gear. 5/5 would recommend. Get one! Lastly, I’d say that the beastgrip website, support (I’m looking at you CJ), and the YouTube vids have been great. I wish there were more educational videos on the gear, but I imagine that’s coming. I would also add, that maybe the beastgrip team may consider selling additional bags, cables, and a clip on screw on mobile filter mount. This would be awesome! Keep up the good work Beastgrip team, and I will be buying more from you in the future!

i got this package today. These things are very well made. I like the material and the finish of the products. And I live in Korea. I admired the fast delivery.
The products might be good but I didn’t have a very pleasant customer service experience with the company sadly. My products didn’t arrive for a shoot I needed them for. I understand this is due to the carrier and can’t be helped but the company washed their hands of it in a “it’s not our problem” way, despite me paying extra for fast track delivery with a clear exact delivery date stated at checkout (nowhere did it say “estimated”). Rather than cover the return shipping costs of the items I no longer required, ensuring a happy customer and return business, they referred to a “computer says no” approach. On top of which they suggested it was my fault for not checking with them in advance that the deadline could definitely be met.

The Beastgrip Variable ND filter seems to work perfectly. Smooth, even density transition with no cross patterning. It’s large 77mm diameter avoids vignetting with my iPhone lenses.

First time ever purchasing camera lenses and gear for my iPhone and I gotta say, I’m blown away. I’m very new to this so I just want to express my initial joy of exploring something refreshing and exciting. After researching all of the other brands, I’m glad I chose BeastGrip. When I first looked through my anamorphic lens I felt like I was introduced into a whole new world. Very excited to start my filmic journey with BeastGrip.
With the 1.33 anamorphic lens and the variable ND filter, I have already gotten fantastic shots. I love the wide format, and it has given me an entirely new option for my iPhone-based videos.
