The Beastgrip Circular Fisheye Lens works with your smartphone’s native camera app. For video, a third-party camera app is recommended if the native app does not allow you to turn off image stabilization. Third-party apps also provide additional manual controls and recording options, including 4:3 open-gate video on compatible devices.

For video, we recommend turning off digital image stabilization when using the Beastgrip Circular Fisheye Lens. Digital stabilization can introduce unwanted warping and shifting, which is especially noticeable with the circular image. For the cleanest and most consistent fisheye look, shoot with stabilization turned off.

Because of the extreme 180°+ field of view of the Beastgrip Circular Fisheye Lens, parts of the rig, handles, or even your fingers may appear near the edges of the image. For the cleanest circular fisheye look, we recommend keeping your setup minimal and your hands clear of the lens’s field of view.

No. The Beastgrip Circular Fisheye Lens does not have a front filter mount due to its extremely wide field of view and optical design. Standard screw-on filters are not compatible with this lens.

Yes. Like any ultra-wide lens, the Beastgrip Circular Fisheye Lens can produce lens flare when bright light sources are in or near the frame. These flares can add unique character and become part of the creative fisheye look, or they can be minimized by adjusting your shooting angle when a cleaner image is preferred.
