Hey #BeastgripNation!

We have an exciting news!

Starting today, every Beastgrip Pro sold on our website includes the lens mount upgrade for iPhone 12 Pro Max, which makes it fully compatible with the iPhone 12 Pro Max. It comes as a separate piece that you'll have to install by yourself if needed. It includes installation instructions and all necessary pieces of hardware, and it takes just a couple of minutes to do that simple process.

Also, this upgrade kit is available as a separate item at our store for the existing customers who would like to upgrade their Beastgrip Pro rigs in order to work optimally with iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Beastgrip Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max

Hey #BeastgripNation!

We just want to share some quick updates about iPhone 12 Pro Max compatibility. As many of you are probably aware, the current version of Beastgrip Pro works the most optimally with iPhone 12 Pro Max when using plate B, which was specifically designed for iPhone 11 Series, however there is room for improvement in this case. Since the iPhone 12 Pro Max has a much larger camera module and position of the main camera is also changed compared to the previous generation of iPhones, we have spent some time to figure out what would be the best solution to accommodate this device and achieve the best possible alignment and performance with external lenses.

After numerous tries and tests with design, we decided to release completely separate lens mount specifically for iPhone 12 Pro Max. Unfortunately, we couldn't come up with additional plate to the current lens mount setup, because the camera system in iPhone 12 Pro Max is so much different and larger and external lenses have to be positioned at farther distance compared to all previous iPhones. So for that reason we will release a completely separate lens mount for the iPhone 12 Pro Max, which will ensure the most optimal alignment and the most optimal performance of our external lenses.

As soon as we release it, it will be available as a separate upgrade kit and of course it will be included with Beastgrip Pro by default.

Hi all. We just want to share with you some updates about the compatibility of the new iPhones 12 and 12 Pro with our gear, development of the new Beastcages, and Beastcam app updates.

We received the new iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, and we are happy to confirm that they are fully compatible with our universal Beastgrip Pro rig and, of course, the Beastclamp. Since iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro have a very similar camera layout as iPhone 11 and 11 Pro, they fit and work pretty much the same with our Beastgrip Pro. We also tested our Pro Series 0.75x Wide-angle lens, 1.33x Anamorphic lens, 3x Telephoto lens, and DOF Adapter MK2 with those phones. You can check the sample footage here:

Beastcage

As of now, we are working tirelessly on developing the 4 new Beastcages for each model of the new iPhones lineup. The design of the Beastcages is almost finished, and we're gonna kick off the production very soon.

Beastcam

We'll be pushing a few small updates to fix some UI alignment issues and make some general improvements. In general, Beastcam works great on new iPhone 12 and 12 pro.
We are hoping to see 10 bit video recording capabilities become available to third-party developers soon.

We couldn’t have been more excited to watch the Apple Keynote this afternoon about the new iPhone 12 Mini, 12, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max. While there are many notable improvements, we’re mostly looking forward to seeing their upgraded camera features:

  • 10-bit HDR video with Dolby Vision, up to 60 fps on Pro models
  • Night mode now available on the TrueDepth and Ultra Wide cameras
  • 47% larger sensor on iPhone 12 Pro Max with massive 87 percent improvement in low-light conditions. New 65mm tele camera
  • An all-new LiDAR Scanner comes to the Pro line. This technology delivers faster, more realistic AR experiences and improves autofocus by 6x in low-light scenes for more accuracy and reduced capture time in photos and videos.

Compatibility

Beastcage

Since the Beastcage for iPhone is precisely engineered for each iPhone model, we’ll be designing new Beastcages for the iPhone 12 Mini, 12, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max as soon as we receive them. Subscribe to our Newsletter or Facebook Messenger for updates.

Beastgrip Pro

We expect the Beastgrip Pro to be fully compatible, but we’ll need to do some testing as soon as we receive the new iPhones to be 100% sure. Stay tuned!

Beastclamp

The Beastclamp will continue to be 100% compatible with all smartphones thanks to its simple and effective clamp design.

Beastcam

Beastcam should mostly work with the new iPhone models, and we’ll be consistently pushing new updates to fix any potential edge cases that we find and support new camera capabilities.

Conclusion

We hope you’re as excited as we are for this next chapter of #phoneography! We’ll keep this post updated as soon as we learn more information. BG
