Have you seen the short Bentley documentary, “Intelligent Details”  shot entirely on an iPhone 5s back in 2014? If not, check it out. This is a great example of how camera phones can be used in video production. We are proud to be a part of this project! Our original Beastgrip was used, among other accessories, to create this video.

During spring of last year, Austin Reza (from http://reza.la/), reached out to us regarding an opportunity to be involved in their project — needless to say, we were happy to provide them with a few Beastgrip units.

In fact, we sent them the very first Beastgrip variation we made when we started creating the new Beastgrip Pro. The unit you see in the pictures below has a slightly different design without handles, which makes it a bit more compact.

After receiving positive feedback from Austin, we started brainstorming on how to incorporate all of those features in a single unit. After months of hard work, making dozens of prototypes and hundreds of design tweaks, we’re almost ready to launch the new Beastgrip Pro on Kickstarter. Although the Beastgrip and Beastgrip Pro look very similar, there are tons of design changes that make the new Beastgrip Pro more functional and versatile. Combine that with the new injection molding manufacturing process we will be using and you get the extremely durable unit compatible with all smartphones.

We believe the Beastgrip Pro will be the best tool for camera phone photographers / videographers, and we are excited to see what other great projects will be shot on camera phones in the future.

Stay tuned.
